        Summary: Chinese Teacher works offline for all learning features. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. An internet connection is used only to (1) process optional in-app purchases and (2) download the HSK 2-9 audio packs after purchase. Downloaded audio is stored on your device and works offline afterwards.
    

1. Information We Collect

We collect NO personal information.

Chinese Teacher does not create user accounts, collect personal data, use analytics or tracking, or display advertisements.

An internet connection is used only when (a) processing an optional in-app purchase through the device's app store, and (b) downloading the audio packs for HSK 2-9 after purchase. These downloads contain only pronunciation audio files — no personal data is sent.

2. Local Data Storage

The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

Learning progress: Which flashcards you have marked as learned
App preferences: Language settings, accessibility options
Onboarding status: Whether you have completed the initial tutorial
Downloaded audio packs: HSK 2-9 pronunciation audio, cached for offline use

This data never leaves your device and can be deleted by uninstalling the app.

3. Third-Party Services

Chinese Teacher does not use analytics platforms or advertising networks. The app integrates with RevenueCat solely to process in-app purchases. RevenueCat does not receive any personal user data from our app. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Audio packs are hosted on a content delivery network (Netlify). Requests for audio files are not associated with any user identity.

4. Children's Privacy

Our app is safe for users of all ages. We do not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.

8. Purchases & Refunds

Chinese Teacher offers a free tier (HSK Level 1) and an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock all content. Purchases are processed through your device's app store and are subject to their respective terms.

EU Consumers: You have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days in accordance with EU consumer protection laws. To request a refund, please contact your app store directly.
